anyway it sounds gross going for a piss in public, i used to think that only happened in continental europe (not being racist but the french unfortunately have a reputation for crapping by the sides of motorways!) but it seems to be becoming more common in britain all of a sudden. a few months ago i was walking down a street full of shops in a suburb and there were people everywhere and this mum and her young daughter came along. there was a plant right in front of a shop full of ppl, only about 1 metre from the shop, and less than 1 m from the main road full of cars, and only 100 or 200 metres away from the nearest public toilets. the mother pulled down her daughters pants and held her above the plant and told her to pee on it. this was in broad daylight (about 3 in the afternoon) in the middle of the day, there were people everywhere, the mum made no attempt to hide her daughter and what she was doing - i couldnt believe it!

Most statesiders I know in public say the little boys room, or the ladies room when they want to use the loo. I HATE THE WORD LOO.

on the tv show "room 101" (where celebrities talk about things they hate and they send representations of them to room 101) ester rantzen (i think it was her, cant even spell her name...) was talking about words she hated and she said she hated the word toilet cos shed always said loo and toilet sounded to her like ppl were trying to be posher or something. she said the same for the word setee - she preferred couch and sofa.

Is this normal?
