It hasnt been a 'out of the ordinary' year by any means, but it cetainly hasnt been bad. I think I achieved my number one goal of the year, which was to get out of retail, and find myself a job which I really enjoy and care about. All-in-all its been a good year, but I still think its time we moved on a start afresh. I am very much looking forward to 2006. I'm going to Netherlands to see Tash, going to see Bon Jovi in Germany, Scotland, at least three in the UK and then to USA - New Jersey Homecoming (when announced) to see BJ, and what I'm looking forward to just as much is meeting Brooke, Becky, Kathleen and Wanda. Money pending, Ill to go Toronto in Canada and maybe meet Jane and Steph! Its all set to be a good one...I just hope that it lives up to all expectations...

because flipping over a page on a calendar doesn't change life situations....

My last year was my year in limbo. A year of waiting. Waiting on my house to get done and finally getting on with my life. Living in a one bedroom apartment with most of my stuff packed up in boxes. Waiting on a new job to come along and leave my asshole boss behind.

The upcoming year will be the year of settling. I'll be moving into my new house, get it furnished and decorated, get settled. I'll hopefully start a new job and a better life regiment.

Work out more - be less sick.

Eat better.

Relax more.

Get another dog.

I'll plan on going to Europe for 3 or 4 weeks. I'll only spend a little time in Germany with my family - it's my mothers 70s birthday, I'll be there for that. Other than that, I'll spend time in Italy and maybe go to London. My son wants to spend most of the time in the UK, while I want to go to Tuscany. Guess we'll have to arrange somehow Main point is that I will show my son some of Europe and have a proper vacation for myself - with no guilt of not spending enough time with my family in Germany.

Good things ya know

A year is 365 days. If you don't think life will get better, what's the point in doing anything?

Any chance of coming to The Netherlands as well?

ANTICIPATION!

Waiting to go to Europe next year and the many hours of stuffing around preparing this and that which goes into it.

In July, I was able to finally see a very good friend of mine from overseas for the first time in 14 months.

The 2005 Ashes series, which was probably the best cricket that I have ever seen played, even though Australia lost.

Waiting for HAND release and tour announcement.

The 2006 Bon Jovi European Tour.

The 2006 U2 Australian Tour.

Seeing Australia in the World Cup next year in Germany, their first time in the finals since 1974.

Waiting 6 months between ticket purchase and show for Oasis at the beginning of December.

So yeah, a mix of patience and excitement for 2005. It's been a good year, so goodbye and not good riddance to 2005, but...

HELLO 2006, NICE TO SEE YOU BABY!! (Ok, still 9 hours to go. )

If I look at it in the right perspective, most of 2005 was really good, especially the first half. But there were some really low points too and the past few months have been among the most stressful in my life. So, for year that started off great, it's ending badly. Maybe 2006 will be starting badly and get better. I'm looking forward to meeting Kev, Brooke, & Kathleen. I hope my job situation allows for that to happen.
