well it says something when in the UK he is greatly unpopular, and yet loved in the US

I doubt he'll last that long, Labour need a scapgoat, and he's the only one that if they but the blaim on they can get out of the troubles they're in

I still think the result of all this will be an increase in the Lib's... who will fill that part of the electorate who vote working class, but are dissolutioned with Labour.

Plus Conservatives are no better, with Ian and Dunken Smith as leader.... honestly, two leaders and they still can't get anything done

Alistair Campbell denied that he sexed the story up, Dr kelly denied that he said to the Journalist Gilligan that it was Mr Campbell who sexed the story up re WMD. Therefore the real villain in this dirty affair is Giilligan who took facts given to him by Dr Kelly and sexed up the detail for the bbc to broadcast to the media.
The MOD is to blame for Dr Kelly's death as they gave permission for the public comittee of mp's to question and bully him- this should not have happened as anyone who works for the mod has to go through an internal committee whic is kept private.
What has Blair got to do with it all?
Iraq will be the downfall of blair and bush because of the ongoing guerilla warfare there- and the brits and the americans will be forced to grovel to the united nations and ask them to send in an international peace keeping force.

Hmh - this is about the government misleading & lying to the people.... - not too fussed what the rest of Europe think. Although the aftermath would have been easier if the decision was delayed until there was a proper coaltion & cooperation in the rebuilding of Iraq.

But that would have meant less US companies getting contracts :P Even the UK r struggling & damned if Blair is gonna stand up to Bush.

shuggymac is right in a way - although it was the governments pressurisation & desperation to get the source that led the MOD to go public. We'll never know if Gilligan sexed up the report or not, although its pretty obvious to anyone that Campbell did.
