This has always been my problem with this all too. I totally agree, it is very convenient.. in this way I can do whatever I please as long as on my deathbed I say God forgive me, I'm saved! Cool! Don't even have to be a good person now then or better yet, there is no need.

I suppose we will do fine as long as we make life worth living.
We have to look ourselves into the eye and tell ourselves what we think are the most important values in life. And when it comes to being a good person..who is???What is good and bad. Some things are bad...you`d never take someones life, but when this person raped you??
And if there is a God, would He forgive him? Well, I wouldn`t!, I`d kill him instead. And would God forgive me too???
It`s all really weird!

I never believed in God our whatever you will call it.
I think the world is a mess and that's not Gods fault, somewhere up in heaven. We the people that live in this world made it that way. And I know some people that don't deserve to die died and others lived while the world would be better off without them.
And if there was a God that was there for peace and so on, tell me

Why was madrid attached with 10 boms
Why was America attacked on 9/11
Why did America attack Afganistan and Iraq
Why is there war, hunger, sickness and so on

Well why does God, when he exists accept all those horrible things?

I actually thought about this the other week.

K so jesus died for all of our sins so I can basically do whatever the **** i want providing I believe in God and Jesus?

It all we argued not too long time back. I tell you again there lots and lots of miracle is going around all around the world not only disaster. You need to have faith and believe and eye for it to see it and feel. Just because world is mess and lots of bomb attack is going on mean no God in this world?. I know it is easy to not believe then believe Jesus and it is not mean if ur chirstan you will get salvation, you have try to follow Jesus path to reach there and it is not easy mind you. I was non-believer or very very believed around 5 or 6 years back, but after i started believing Jesus , now i'm more happy and i know i can do anything in the world with God by my side. Ofcourse there lot of things went wrong in my life in these 4 or 5 years but i know what ever happening is happening for good not for worst.

defnetly not, you can't go to heaven just coz ur christan mind you, you have tto be real christan and have to walk litarly his path to get there.

Okay, another one then: say I am a devote Christian, I go to church every Sunday, I pray to God every day and I follow him to the letter, however I beat my spouse senseless every night too, after I have beaten my spouse I beg God for forgiveness.. does this mean I get it? Will I still go to Heaven? Am I a good person?

then no use, it is not only going to church or praying it is alos how u treat others. and how u treat ur enemy.
