nah i dont have a clue what a vision quest is so I can't really presume anything.

Sayign that. My old philosophy teacher had us all meditating at one point and even though I'm really skeptical of stuff like that. It worked and I got totally lost in it all.

wot kind of meditating? check out freud on dreams....

vision quest is like a meditation...but there comes a time where when u reach such a level, u dont need to go thru such a process to connect.

I don't really know what kind of meditation it would be reffered to as but he had us all sitting on chairs in a circle with our bodies relaxed and symetrical then we'd to close our eyes and follow his instruction.

he'd be saying stuff like imagine you're in a cave represinting your life and outside the cave is eventually where you want to be but you're surrounded by chains with each link being a different reason making it harder for you to reach the outside whether it be family, friends, school or whatever.... then telling us to imagine which was the strongest link and hardest to break then thinking about hwat it would take to break it and imagining doing it.

stuff like that. As i say, I was really sceptical but you get engrossed in the whole thign and actually think you're in this cave tryign to break out.

did it make u feel like you could break away? it sounds interesting, but like the tutor was introducing u to the whole concept...i think also, both of us come from two completely different backgrounds heading in different directions too, so i think alot of things may sound fuzzy...

it did in a way yeah. everyone came away with a really clear and focused mind set.

as i say it was a few years ago so I can't exactly remember but my old philosophy teacher is one of the coolest, smartest and most tuned in dudes I've ever met.

He's one of those teachers that no one likes till their old or mature enough to actually appreciate where they're coming from.

brilliant guy.

he sounds a man with great respect, somethign which is pricless in my book....i think too many ppl who think themselves religious or spiritual look down at others...they think others as inferior or 'limited'...and see themselves as 'elite'......and so alot of them preach and become ignorant...

i really wish, the things i have seen and felt i could give to every1 u know? i do get to share them with my wife, but i feel i hope one day to help others...i was particulary happy to have gotten my best freind out of depression and out of that damn mental hospital...i was told by the spirit world, that i am here to help bridge the gap of cultural divide....long ago i was told this, and i was told im with a cherokee as this was the first step...and ill be using my artwork as the basis of my messages.....and right now, as u may know im heading to canada, working on a comic deal with someone who is still quite a famous figure which will only broaden it all out....i dont think u will find many celebs with their artist a sikh turban with a cherokee wife

yeah mate I know you're heading off to Canada but didn't have a clue you were intending to tie your drawings in with all this spiritual stuff.

A really good idea man.

As I've said many times before, I have alot of respect for you and I always find it easier to take in an open minded persons beliefs who isn't judgemental or condascending to other belief systems and you're a perfect example of that.
