k that made very little sense and u should stop smoking crack but i never have and never will say science is going to prove God exists. no why/ because they're not trying to. if anything they're trying to prove that God doesn't exist and i'm much more open to listen and look at some empirical scientific evidence over someones OPINION which doesnt really prove nothing apart from what the person believes.

Mike, if you had the answers to your questions would this make a difference? If so why .

Dawn
I don't believe these can be answered by conventional science or anything. Thats why I am still dubious about there being nothing but science.

two things i have to say....

good interesting things in there...

response to that... you may not be able to prove god exists, but equally you cant prove that god doesnt exist. and it is hard to explain a lot of the harder things that other people have brought up.

the other things is that reincarnation...

now mathmatically i have a problem with that as a theory specially with some forms... i cant really say very much as i dont have all the information id like, and i really dont know about the gouranga people other than they annoy me in town when i walk through with a guitar... :S
but its been calculated that in order for a person to make right all the wrongs of one previous life they would need to live something around 17 million perfect lives...
how many people do you know who lived a perfect life, let alone 17million of them???

reincarnation then becomes scientifically implausable...

the onyl other comment id make is that of the relationship of faith and science. they are actually closely linked. if i had to define myself in terms of pure academia i am a scientist. but i have faith.
theres a really interesting tv prog that was on bbc1 last year that looked at this...
if i can get hold of it ill go into more of it...

Maybe re-incarnation has nothing to do with religion but i believe it happens, and i believe that maybe "Hell" if you like is re-incarnation, going through live learning from mistakes and applying that in your next life.

I feel like i have been here before, for some strange reason i have said for many years i don't want to grow old and waste away, i want it to be quick. I have questioned this because in a previous life did i

1. Life a long life and waste away to a disease
2. Life a short life and die quickly

Maybe that has a factor on why i feel so strong about not living to my 70's/80.s

I have done things in my life that are out of character for me and can not explain why i have done them, nothing nasty , just stuff that i wouldn't normally do.

The mind is so powerful, most of us use our five senses, some claim to have the sixth ( mediums etc ) but how are we to know how many senses the mind is truly capable of? Its such an amazing complex thing that i don't believe your mind dies with you, i think its an electrical energy which carries on, ie ghosts etc.

God to me exists, i so much believe that my grandfather is still looking out for me, little things still happen 6 years after he died which make indicate he is here. I think God is a presence, its faith, nothing physical, just a belief in a greater power...the mind. I think religion in itself causes far too much trouble, more then good. Look at all the conflicts going on in the world which stem from someone saying that their God is "right".

I am catholic, not practising, especially when the church i belong to is riddled with pervert priests and that child abuse within the catholic church is swept under the vatican carpet!!!! But if someone asked me if i had a faith and if i believed in god, jesus etc i would say yes.

Jim, have i gave you a run for ya money on the length of that post!!! LOL
Very interesting, and very much of what i believe. Reincarnation is something i strongly believe in. I don't know how i can explain my beliefs; it's always been difficult trying to get these thoughts out.

Reincarnation is, i believe, something that happens to everyone in order to grow and learn and become wiser. During one lifetime your life lesson might be courage, then the next might be love, then family, then money, then happines, and so on and so forth. Until you feel satisfied with your amount of knowledge and wisdom you have gained, you'll stop reincarnating. And i don't believe that reincarnation happens directly after your last lifetime, but you wait on the "other side" drinking, partying, having a great time, until you want decide to take on another challenge. And before that, you create a 'blue print' of somesort of your life you plan to have -- I'm not saying anything about destiny or fate or a set path for you, since your can change where your life is headed. but something like guidelines that will help you through life and help you try to get to your goal/ lesson (along with Spirit Guides, but that's a whole different topic :P ) .

that's some of my beliefs on reincarnation, and it's very likely, to me, that you, bon geordie, are experiencing some after effects of your past life.

What i think would be rally interesting is to be hypnotized and be regressed to my past life - that would be the ultimate!
