that sounds good actually

and Sara (Tawtami could sing) - i listened to her song and she has an amazing voice... but otherwise vocals could always be a karaoke job lol

the only problem i can see is everyone trying to get in on it thats y i said i'd do bass drums or guitar u know but we could even just swap around u know, me on guitar for a few songs, letitrock for a few, ice for a few.

fair enough we won't be anywhere near as tight as a pro cover band but it'd be alot funner, everyone involved will know the material inside out so we wouldnt even need a big practice maybe just a couple of hours for soundchecks n a run thru and once ur up onstage u gel with the band ur playing with pretty fast, happens with jam bands, blues guys etc... so y not us?

if no one else is up for it then fair enough but if i was just going along i'd rather see some of our guys in action than paying a band to do it (these guys don't come cheap u know)

i mean we can see bon jovi tribute bands pretty much anytime sooner or later but this would be a one off u know

i'm up for it if we cud get a band together. wudnt cost that much to hire a pa and backline then its just bring ur own instrument.

it would be a lot cheaper also than hiring a cover band

and it would be fun

other problem would be hiring a PA and drum kit

i could play bass though, guitar and possibly drums - but not confident enough for that

hiring it all wouldnt be that expensive compared to wot it wud cost to get a band. either someone witha van cud haul all the gear there or sort out something with a company that can transport the gear too.

i know we have alot of guitarists here so i'd be more than happy to sit behind the drums for the night. been wanting to drum at a gig for a ages now cos ive not done it for years. might get the chance in a couple of weeks, a mate from college is wanting me n my bro n some mates to play at her birthday just learn some system of a down and darkness songs quick and i'd much rather be behind the kit than out playing guitar at that so i can hide when it goes tits up
