Kidnap/ murder up here

First three articles I found on the web about this case do mention the gang was Asian.
But in an agression, the agressor being a different skin color than his victim doesn't necessarilly make the aggression a racist act. All the motives for a non-racist crime are still valid.

back to the topic, i actually havent heard about this at all, i perosnally dont see how it can be a race case till the means are known...and i would be saying that if the colours where reversed......as for the race thing, i guess your right, but large sections of the asian population here certainly feel under the cosh from whites, so when something happens, they always shout race attack... i usually feel that this type of viewpoint causes far more trouble then its worth and causes uneccesary friction, tension and hatred.

apparently they were actually after the boys pal who is going out with an asian girl but he managed to get away.


Now if that's not a racially motivated attack then i don't know what is but ponrauil, i was makign the point that had it been 5 white guys that did it to an asian you wouldn't be able to open a paper without somethign being said about it being a racially motivated attack.


I'll put pretty decent money on their being retaliation when the boy gets buried cause I have to drive through the schemes down there to get to uni every morning and it's basically 50/50 white and asian and its always been tense, this is probably going to push it over the edge.
