Have you tried putting something other than food in the trap? Sometimes they like shiny objects, like foil or surprisingly Christmas lights (the ones that people use on the outside of their homes, the big kind). You can try an assortment of different items, because food might not work. I think its all just a trial and error situation.

WE GOT HIM!! Peanut Butter did the trick, along with a large trap. You will all be happy to know that I drove him far, far away and released him by where I used to live.

Thanks for not killing him Brooke... I feel a lot better knowing that the little squirrel did not meet a horrible death!!

Yes, he will live to see another Christmas. Plus, my husband felt bad after setting the bunny rabbits on fire last year....but that is another story.

Sorry I got to this thread a bit late, but I would have suggested peanut butter, myself. Mmm. Peanut butter. It's like... the best thing since sliced bread. And it's a zillion times better than Christina Augilara. Don't ask me why I just wrote that.
