and Mouse, you said it ate your insulation...what type of insulation do you guys have over there? We use fibre glass, which would kill anything that ate it.

Can't you just get one of those traps that lures the animal in with food and then traps it, ready for you to take itaway and release it?
To clarify, it tore up the insulation. Although I did also find a dead one up there that may have eaten it.

Yes, we have a trap set right now. If it doesn't work though....

Have you tried putting something other than food in the trap? Sometimes they like shiny objects, like foil or surprisingly Christmas lights (the ones that people use on the outside of their homes, the big kind). You can try an assortment of different items, because food might not work. I think its all just a trial and error situation.

WE GOT HIM!! Peanut Butter did the trick, along with a large trap. You will all be happy to know that I drove him far, far away and released him by where I used to live.

Thanks for not killing him Brooke... I feel a lot better knowing that the little squirrel did not meet a horrible death!!

Yes, he will live to see another Christmas. Plus, my husband felt bad after setting the bunny rabbits on fire last year....but that is another story.

It was all quite innocent actually. Before we moved, we found a hole in the garden. Well, my husband thought for sure it was rats and we didn't want them there when the new people moved in. Anyway, although a little voice inside my head told me this was a bad idea, he told me to get the matches. Then he poured a bit of gasoline down the hole and put a burning match in it. Anyway, a bunch of little buggers came running out on fire. They actually ran right next to the house and caught that on fire too!! Thank God my husband put it out. Upon careful inspection, we found out that they weren't rats. It was bad...

Well, at least he didn't intentionally want to kill the poor little rabbits. Poor things.. that is so sad...

Sorry I got to this thread a bit late, but I would have suggested peanut butter, myself. Mmm. Peanut butter. It's like... the best thing since sliced bread. And it's a zillion times better than Christina Augilara. Don't ask me why I just wrote that.
