Totally agree. But at the spur of the moment you really don't know how to act. It was an attention seeking thing, we realised that a few days later, but at that moment, you honestly think that he was going to die. Later we realised that his story didn't really make any sense. Thankfully she didn't get back with him or has anymore contact with him, as I don't but it was a situation I never want to be in again.

the guy who lived below us when i was little killed himself 5 years ago today... shot himself in the head in the bath.

got a few friends who've tried.. all failed thankfully...

and i tried twice.. and obviously failed... cause im here..
tho nobody knew about any of that for a long time.

The people who are doing it for attention or cry for help they keep on telling you they are going to do it. The people who are really gonna do it and are serious about getting out of this world will do it without you even knowing they are depressed, They wont talk about it and there probably wont be any signs.

exactly. if u take a bottle of pills and fone or tells omeone uve done it then ur a prat cos if u were serious about it and really needed out then u'd do it so there was no way of it failing.

there's a difference between needing attention and needing help in these situations and sadly, it's usually the people that really need the help that don't get it for obvious reaons.

That really isn't true though. Maybe in some cases, but I have friends that talked about it, meant it and did it. Simple as that.

Some people actually try to get help, thus have to talk about it. That doesn't mean they don't mean it.

Though I think the majory slips out quietly. Sometimes we don't even recognize it as suicide.

My aunt wanted to do it but never had the courage (I read her diary after she +). She eventually died all alone in her appartment and it took 6 weeks before someone phoned the police and they then found her... She was chronically depressed and she was following treatment in a psychiartic hospital but was discharged then.
I treid once but failed (I am here so...)... It was weird, I was at the end of my ropes, had a hard time at work, no friends no nothing. When I did "it" (well, tried it), I felt so........ guilty?? I never talked to anyone about it, but when i read my aunts diary it made me realize I was feeling as bad as she did.
As I am a nurse I know lot of people who have commited suicide. One of our patients tried to hung himself in his sheets about a month ago. We found him in time, psychiatrist said it was a "weak moment", 2 weaks ago he shot himself through the head... his wife found him, took the gun, then she was nearly arrested by the police.... Same day this happened we admitted a woman who found her husband, he also shot himself through the head...
