No, but my optician said those would be as bad (to me) as soft ones. I'm really fin with the hard ones, and the tear thing has nothing to do with them anyway

Try them anyway. I cannot wear ANY lenses except the daily ones. Even the biweekly bother me....

Honestly I don't think I will: if my optician says no and my current hard ones are just fine - why should I?

I used to have exactly the same problem. Wore soft contacts for some time, but then they started to bother me. My optician said it was my tears, I also barely had any tear fluid, so I should try and wear hard contacts. That's what I did - I wore hard contacts for several years. But I found soft lenses so much more convenient. Just about 2 months ago I decided to give it a shot and try soft lenses again, it's been 5+ yrs since I last tried them after all. I've got the most ultra-breathing soft contacts now and so far I don't seem to have any problems at all!

I'm glad, dry air and lots or dust was so annoying (and painful!) with hard contacts...

Sounds great! I really hope they remain as comfortable!

Oh, specks of dust in your eyes are pure hell indeed!!

a friend of mine couldn't see a thing without her glasses or her lenses but after the laser operation she's had, she can see fine. for a few days after the operation she was blind and then had a blur vision but she got better pretty soon.

Never tried hard ones. I change mine each months, they are really soft, apparently the best for dry eyes .... that's ok. Sometimes when i'm tired i can't see very well or as i touch my eyes a lot i have to change them more often (had an infection once ! i won't forget this !!).

I hate wearing glasses, i never found some i liked. Maybe my face is not for wearing glasses And i'm really a danger for glasses, i break them, scratch them, twist them .... :s I bought some Puma's glasses i thought i'd like and will be more careful with them ... same thing :s

Lenses are expensive but trust me when you have to buy glasses every 6 months it is expensive too !

Good question, how much do you buy yours in your country ? for my monthly soft ones i pay 160€ for 6 months ....

No idea how much those would cost here, but I'm pretty sure they'd be cheaper. My hard ones I bought last May and supposedly last about 2-3 years, although my previous ones lasted 4 in good condition. I paid 120 euros (they were more expensive but since they've known me for so many years they made a discount) and monthly for the liquids and stuff I pay about 15 euros.
