Just started to read Dreaming in Darkness by Ran Cartwright, I'm delighted to read it! Mr. Cartwright is also the co-editor of the wonderful magazine DARK LEGACY, and has a website called Arkham Shadows.

I just finished 'Kits Widerness' by David Almond. Essentially its a kids book, but its dark as hell...lots of stuff about death and dreams...really haunting, original and well written. I don't read too many 'kids' books, but after reading Northern Lights by Philip Pullman, I've started to come around.
Another book I read recently which I highly recommend is 'Kitchen Confidential' by Anthony Bourdain. Its an autobiography of this New York chef, but it goes into grim detail about the depravity and a-moral world of people who work in the restauraunt business. The stories and characters are rude, crude, dangerous and funny as hell. Sex, drugs, drinking - its all in there...definitely not a kids book.

Star Wars Episode III:Revenge Of The Sith. Didn't think any book could come close to Traitor. I was wrong. This vies for #1 on my favorites list.

I'm about a third through Technical Communication 9th edition (college textbook), so I'll keep reading that.

Yesterday night I finished Cuadernos de Todo by Spanish writer Carmen Martín Gaite. so great! It's a compilation of the thoughts and opinions she wrote in her personal notebooks along with ideas for books, poems, reviews, etc. Amazing - a book to read again and again

I just started Killing Yourself to Live by Chuck Klosterman - love that guy - love his style of writing. Can't wait to get home and continue reading

I also have Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs by him, but not read it yet.

Still plowing through Technical Communication 9th Edition. Very boring.

I'm really looking forward to getting Dance Of Death from the library. It's the sequel to Preston/Child's Brimstone that I read earlier this year.

'White Teeth' by Zadie Smith

its taken me ages to get round to reading this book but was really dissappointed. it didnt live upto the hype and you had paragraphts that ran for pages and pages. it was easy to get confoosed. but maybe i wasnt paying much attention cause she kept on having chapters that were had names of teeth in them- what had their teeth got to do with anything??!

'Who Killed Kurt Cobain?' by Ian Halperin and Max Wallace

not a fan of kurt but the book was easy enough to grasp. i dont think it approached the question too well tho, but nice read if you just want to read something where u dont have to think too much
