25% of the Quebec population have English as their native language. That percentage increases in Montreal, which is a great city to live in. It's just impossible to get bored here, unless you really want to . Very safe, low cost and "unstressed" for a city of this size too.
A lot of people, especially of your age Jag, speak a very decent english.

If you need advice or help for Quebec, I'll be glad to help. Maybe Miracle could help you with Ontario.

While I was only half joking i do have an example of my experiences.

When I was living in Toronto I needed to get back to England pretty quickly for a job interview. I booked a ticket using www.destina.ca which is based in Quebec (I believe). I used my credit card but my delivery address was different to my credit card billing address. I phoned destina.ca and a French-Canadian woman answered. I said something along the lines of "I have booked a ticket on your website but my delivery address is different to my billing address. Will this be a problem?". She thought for a minute and said "You want to pay for a ticket with your credit card?". I tried to explain using even simpler English but she couldn't understand. In the end I just gave up and it was ok in the end.

I did want to visit Quebec City while I was in Canada though. I just didn't get the chance.

My advice is go to Toronto, one of my favourite places. Don't go to the west coast. While Vancouver may be nice, it is boring. The same goes for Victoria. Don't go to Quebec either. They can't even speak English.

Learn how to make a Canadian resume. This differes from a British CV.

Eat at The Pickel Barrel and get the lunch special Fajitas.

That's all you need to know.
just wondered why is the west not good? i think calagry is quite scenic and i am a perosn who does like to go out and soak up the enviroment around me, so something 'boring' may be perfect...but i am goign calagry no matter cos of the job i have lined up there. thanks for the tips tho, ill work on the cv
Don't know about calgary, just Vancouver and Victoria. After two days in Vancouver I was bored out of my mind. It's not too late to change to Toronto though....

Go Pickel Barrel!! I just noticed this post now I actually have never been out west, but according to my dad, its pretty boring. Calgary might be a nice place to go for a few days though.
