I was 18 when I left home but I now have a son living at home who is almost 25. Grad school is a fortune so he lives here and we trade work. He does some stuff that neither my husband and I feel like doing and he is around to stay with my daughter (14) when we go away for a few days. It works out well, but it helps that he and I have always gotten along - we play in a band together when there is time.

Well, my situation is a little bit strange. I lived with my aunt and uncle from the time I was seven. My mom had some problems and couldn't provide for me as well as they could, so I came to live with them. I moved out when I was 20. I had transferred to a University 200 miles away from home. When I finished school, I moved back to my hometown, but into my own apartment. Then, a few months later, my uncle passed away. My aunt didn't want to live alone and she didn't want to sell her home. So when my lease on my apartment was up, I moved in with her to help her. That was in 1997 and I've been here ever since. It's not too bad. It's nice when I come home from work and don't have to worry about cooking dinner. On the flip side, it's frustrating sometimes because I'm never alone and never have any real privacy. Honestly, if I had my way, I'd move out. But she still doesn't want to sell the house and can't afford it anymore by herself. So here I stay stuck. I feel compelled to help her now because God only knows what would have happened in my life had they not helped me when I needed them to. Add into this my fiance' and the dog and things can be quite interesting around here at times.

I moved out in 2002, to go to uni (although I actually go to uni in the same place anyway...(sheffield) ) but my mum was moving to Bristol so I didnt have much of a choice. Yeah its exspensive, but I couldnt ever go back to living at home. My mum hasnt sold her house here yet, and inbetween moving from Broomhill to Walkley (still in Sheffield) last year I stayed back at hers for a month - she was there for about a week and it drove me nuts no loud music, no slobbing about infront of the tv all night etc etc etc :s

although living on my own (no housemates) was pretty funky but living with 3 other people means I have someone to play Age of Empires 2 against hehe

I moved out this september (at the age of 20) because I live about 900kms away from my parents. I really like sharing the flat, that way i dont have have to clean the kitchen and bathroom all by myself :P i don't miss my parents too much most of the time, but sometimes i would just like to lay back and let my mum cook for me or do my washing like she used to yeah, i am lazy i know. but i cant help it
i am really looking forward to seeing my family and friends again at christmas

I still live at home ... I don't see why I should move out. From where I live, to my study-place it's about 10' with the car and 15' with the train. Of course, sometimes I wished I lived there cause you lose a lot of time with the travelling ...
Anyway, I look forward living on my own ... not cause I don't like my parents or so cause I do but you know, place of your own !
But as said before, life is very expensive and i can't earn money as long as I study so I will still be at home for the next 2 years at least and I guess I won't leave immediately .... Cause when you work and you live at home ... that are the days you can save ! And as long as I don't have a bf and no money enough, Ill live at home

I moved out when I was 25, quite old really, but I was a student before that and just couldn't afford it. I couldn't imagine living at home now, my parents would drive me crazy. I live quite close by them, but I just couldn't live with them anymore. Besides.. what would happen to my cats??

I'm still living with my parents, but my boyfriend (for 2 years and 6 months now) bought a house. For the moment he still lives with his mom, because there's still a little work on the house. When I've got my diploma, and the work is finished, we'll move into it.
We've got luck, because we don't have to buy furniture, my uncle bought new furniture and we have received his 'old' (it's not that old and it's still useable)

greetzzz,

Aiki
