I dont know if anyone can help me! I am clutching at straws here.

I'm looking for a book. It would be suited I think for teenagers. Don't know the name or the author of the name of the main character.

I know that there was a girl. And she was in a foster home. She got placed with a woman named Trotter, who already had another foster kid.

She lived next door to a blind man.

The foster girl did cleaning for the guy next door found money stored in his books and stole some of the money. She lined her drawers with it.

She also had a friend from school that she didnt treat very well.

I think she ran away to find her real mother which she did eventually.

Any help at all would be great. I only remember one line from the book and I googled that and came up with nothing.
