A semi-mac user checking in. My desktop is a PC, but my laptop is a Mac. So I have a super cheap PC that I use all the time, and a very expensive laptop that looks nice sitting on the desk near my PC. How dumb is that? Someday I'll learn to use it. Seriously though, I LOVE that Macs don't get viruses! We set my mother in law up on one of the new Mac Mini's and she hasn't called with a virus or blue screen of death question since the day we plugged it in.

May be u don't even know u have virus, just install one and update it and u come to know what all u got . Well again i really don't know about MAC system, but its hard for me to think that they don't get virus.....

isn't virus messing into your computer ? if you have them and they don't bother you LOl they have absolutely NO INTEREST a virus you can't ignore it when you have it .. never had one never had a computer which crashed never reformarted anything ...

there are not so many viruses for the Mac... Firstly a Mac is harder to infect and the market for Macs is much smaller than PC's, so not quite as interesting for hackers and virus writers.

In all the years I've worked on Macs, I've only had a virus once and it was quite harmless anyway.

LOL a joke says that mac users are theones who create virus LOL i am sure it's not true but it's very true thhat the mac market doesn't interest virus creators ...

Not all.... I was running internet cafe like couple of years back in india and after sometimes all our system didnt have anti-virus for some reason.... What was funny was it was running fine and not doing any harm to my system..... but once i try to install antivirus in a system and after updating it, it littarly crashed and showed whole computer is full of virus and even system files lol.. then i had to remove the anti virus instead of virus

But as i said i have no idea about MAC, as Sara said it may be hard and not challenge for hacker to attack it..

wow you must have been PISSED that day you installed anti virus .. if all crashed at the same time

no worries for me ....no virus in my puter
