It's not so simple, i went for manipulated genius, because i think he is a great artist, even if i don't like his music etc ... but what he lived during all his life is just not normal so he can't be a normal person. A huge star like him is always manipulated, now i can't tell what's right what's wrong but i think most of what we hear is just horrible lies.

Judging him purely on his music and talent, hes a genius (forgetting that horrible album he did three years ago). As a person he needs some help, even if he is totally innocent.

would you think nah he's just a guy who needs a reality check? would you **** you'd be thinking, can't wait till the guys in jail get him for that.

Alot of people are inclined to be blurry eyed about this situation merely because it's michael jackson
Not true. You are comparing two different things. People know a lot about Michael Jackson's history and why his behaviour towards kids is like this. Things he has spoken about like never having a real childhood, which is probably the reason why he hangs out with kids so much. When reading about some random 40 year old guy in the newspaper you know nothing about him. That's why people think different about Michael Jackson. Not because he's a big star, but because he's had a completely different youth than any other star.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

No, it’s most definitely not comparing two different things, it’s an airtight comparison. Celebrity status should not be a factor in the eyes of the law… MJ is as Jim said, just another 40 year old guy who goes to bed with children and needs to be treated appropriately whether that be punitive or therapy based (Sadly very ineffectual in cases like this). The difference is he has had the luxury of buying his way out of 2 court cases and avoiding help or punishment by settling with his accusers, something the average 40 year old weirdo wouldn’t be able to do.

You say it’s different because we “know” things about him through his interviews and work but that is just a public persona. I’m sure a huge number of people on the board here feel they know a lot about the band members of Bon Jovi but I imagine very few people could vouch for exactly what sort of people they are in their private sphere.

MJ may be a target for compensation seekers or he may be an habitual sex offender… whichever he certainly needs a lot of help.

Wether it's a valid comparison or not is pretty irrelevant and you went some way to furthering my point.

we do know alot about Michael Jackson ergo people are willing to believe that he's just some harmless guy because he acts like a kid. What about mr anonymous? maybe he just wants to be a big kid as a result of him not having a proper upbringing?

As I said, when you're in a messed up mental state (which i doubt anyone can deny in this state) then your perception of things is really skewed to the point where he might think messing around with kids is totally harmless because he's still a "child"
