In Finland it's mandatory to use a hands-free - headset if you're using your mobile while driving. You get fined if you don't have one.

Ice
Its mandatory here aswell but it still looks weird

If I'm driving I don't care if I look like an idiot with my earpiece. But walking around with one I think is just showing off that you're on the phone and not really necessary.

I think they look ridiculous when people walk around with an earpeace talking on their cellphones. What I hate even more though is when someone is in line at a store and can't be bothered to hang up their phone long enough to pay the cashier.

There was a news article a while ago about a man using a hands-free whilst walking through London. He shouted "F-U-C-K off" to whoever was on the other end of the phone and ended up getting knifed by a guy nearby who thought he was talking to him!

even so i would never use it (i'm lucky that i do not have to be available all the time on a phone), i agree that it's a good thing for cars or bikes. makes traffic safer. but people walking around in stores with these things.... probably they think they look important, but they look just stupid.
