yeah they tell a story or portray a feeling, it doesnt mean anything more than that.

fair enough a song about rape or racism migh toffend you if you've been a victim of such but being offended by stuff like livin in sin because of religion is stupid if you ask me.

Anyway, the whole discussion shifted to another direction, the most important thing for me still is not to generalize!
And by the way moongoose (i hope i remebered that right), there are far more important things to me other than deciding whether the music i listen to is prohibited in my religion, i have been a Bon Jovi fan since 95, and i have been praying since 97, and i still can't see where the problem is!
I was reading this so seriously then I saw the word MOONGOOSE OUCH THAT IS SO FUNNY. Hey Goose show us your butt

DAN ,MOON U GOOSE . Its Mongoose by the way.

Ok back on topic , Its not the BJ type of music that offends people , its the lyrics and what they represent, there are lyrics I hear that I have problems with. How can any religious person support the lyrics living in sin, there are plenty of others. In general a lot of them are faith based due to Jons/bands religious catholic upbringing.

I agree, but how can a religious person read a book, watch a movie... to end this, i did not deny that music may not be widely tolerated in my religion, but people are working on that and they are studying the reason why it shouldn't be. Anyway what I tried to say is that thinking that way is really ridiculous, i think people have to be objective, they have to listen, watch, talk, read.. anything, apart from their beliefs. I am a Muslim, and I am a song writer, a rock fan, and I can't see where the wrong is. It's all about how you understand your religion, everything moves forwards, even religion.
Still being a rock fan, that don't mean that i accept all lyrics, i still face a problem listening to Hey God or Something to Believe In, but i also still discover much more numerous great things about this band. I think that Bon Jovi made it because he elaborated on our simple lives, everybody can find an aspect of himself in a Bon Jovi song, and that's something you don't always see with other song writers.
I don't have to accept everyone or everything, but I also don't have to refuse everyone and everything, that just doesn't make sense to me.

I KNOW HOW BORING I WAS SO FAR!! SO TO ANYBODY WHO REACHES TILL THIS LINE... and have a good day!
