Austria is very beautiful. I've been there a few times and would love to go back there someday.

That is the problem, living there is different then visiting once in a while or seeing it in a TV. I know some of there think about same thing about India too. But yes Australia is my ultimate goal to be.

absolutely! and/or the Lake district/Northumbria. I'd love to go to Skara Braie (sp?)... but for me every country has its beautiful parts. The lakes and Italian Alps, the countryside of France/Provence, the vastness itself of Russia I imagine to be very beautiful to the eye, Maine USA/Canada...

I love anywhere where i could just walk or travel for many miles wihout meeting another human being, but also where i can reach a city within 1 hours drive. Fortunately that describes virtually anywhere in Britain.

If I can have a mix of tranquility, beautiful scenery, small villages, lakes and hills then I'm a content man.

I've said for many years now that if ever i have enough money i'd like to live in the Lake District (since i could commute) or somewhere like Switzerland: Zurich, Geneva, Stresa (please say this isn't Italy - 99.9% certain it's switzerland but always confuse it with that pact of 1935 which i think had something to do with Italian occupation of Ethiopia.. even though i went there in 1995 - listening to TD continuously)
Do u like to be ina quite a place don't u?. Me too, i love to have job which alow me to travel around the world and after the hard work come back and spend good time with family in quite place, in the nature.

Gotta agree with you there Jess...but them I'm biased...being an aussie and all

This is such a HUGE country that even a lot of aussies never get to see a lot of it. Last place for the great 'adventure'...if you drive across the continent from Perth to Sydney [and do it straight across] you won't go through any other major cities...friends that have done it say it is one amazing journey.
We have rainforest that comes straight down on to tropical beaches [The Daintree Rainforest meets the Pacific Ocean just north of Cairns], we have 2 of the largest monoliths in the world [Uluru (or Ayres Rock) and Mount Augustus (which is MUCH bigger than Ayres Rock)]...we've got the snow in NSW, Victoria and Tassie, we've got the sub tropics and the tropics, we got desert [man, have we got deserts]...and totally surrounded by water....and beaches.....some of the very best on the planet...especially if you are into surfing...[which of course means surf life savers and surfers....I'm past doing anything about it, but I ain't past looking ]
I've been to Hawaii [and am quite certain that the Garden of Eden is there somewhere]..but I'm glad I live here...we really are very lucky here in OZ.

It's definitely a place worth visiting.

Cheers,
S.

Well its definately not the UK, granted we have pockets of nice scenery, but as a whole the UK is a very dull place to live. America would be nice if it wasnt for all the "loonies" over there lol.

I would probably guess Australia or maybe even South Africa would be very beautiful places, but no way in hell would you catch me living anywhere near there. I mean, people must have a death wish, all the things over there which can kill you.... arggghhh i wouldnt leave the house.

Loads of killer snakes
Sharks
Crocodiles
Tropical Storms
Scorpions
Even damn killer bees.

And in America you get tornadoes and earthquakes..... *shudders*

I think I will stay here with all the brummies.
