i can't say that it is the most beautiful country because of the poverty but the huge complex we were in in the dominican republic was gorgeous. lovely beaches, palm trees.....everything you expect from the caribbean.

I thought Malta was beautiful. Very serene beauty, although they drive like madmen there!
France was nice as was Lanzarote.
I've always wanted to see Jamaica, I think that looks beautiful.
Can't wait to see Oz!!

We'll i'm biased...but i'd say Scotland...all over, not just the highlands...some areas of the Boarders and Lothians are lovely...and Edinburgh has to be one of the most breathtakin' cities in the world.....

further afield..Majorcas lovely, well the parts that aren't packed of high rise hotels......Tunisia is beautiful too, the market places are amazing......but i'd love to go to New Zealand or visit the Rockies.....

emotional blackmail is a terrible thing

luckilly her dad's back isnt too good and he's just going to drive a camper van with all the gear in it to the next stop so she says i can go along with him a couple of days and sit in the pub whilst we wait for them.
No one would have to blackmail me to walk across Scotland. Actually, this sounds very good, I want to do that next summer now... I always wanted to do that, but now you brought the idea to my mind for real... Thanks Jim, you just gave me something to do for my summer holidays next year

cool jovilaura glad to hear ur interested.

went a walk yesterday that included part of the start of it and it was ok. roughly it takes about 6 or 7 days to do the west highland way can take longer or shorter depending on wot u want to do along the way u know.

it works out that doing it in a week u only need to walk about 13 miles a day which isnt alot considering we did half of that yesterday and it was nothing hard. i just hope my leg doesnt go when im doing it. got a dodgy left leg that hurts for walking long distances or when it gets cold

my girlfriends mumg ot a book telling u about the route and where u can stay and what scenery there is n stuff and at the end it says if u go from glasgow to fort william (were doing fort william to glasgow) u should climb ben nevis (biggest mountain in the UK) at the end of it cos it;s just before fort william on the route.

dunno about u but after walkin 100 miles i cant imagine feeling the urgent need to climb a big mountain.
