There are a million programs to do this. You can use the Windows Media Player, or if you want a specific program, use Google and "rip CD to mp3".

On Media Player, go to Options -> Rip Music and select MP3 as the target format, then OK. Go to the "Rip" tab and rip the CD.

You can set the quality standards to your liking too. Highest quality being WAV. I always rip my CD's at 192 KBPS... It's really close to CD quality, but saves much space! Media Player is set at 128 KBPS which is pretty much standard for most of them. You'll notice some difference in quality between the two but not much.

Yeah, I'd recomend either 128kbps or 112kbps to keep file size to a minimum. I doubt you have more than about 80Mb on your phone to fill with music, so if you wanna cram as much on as your can then you will need to use lower bit rates. Obviously you lose quality the lower you go though. With 128kbps you'll probably be able to fit around 20 four minute songs into 80Mb free space on your phone.

I tried it last night but i got this
Windows Media Player cannot rip the track because a compatible MP3 encoder is not installed on your computer. Install a compatible MP3 encoder or choose a different format to rip to (such as Windows Media Audio).
So i did a google search and found this http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Lame_Encoder.htm But it still does want to know. Do i have to start the encoder somehow? i looked but couldnt find anything to Run the programme
