It sounds like news that will make a very happy New Year - congratulations. Yes it's daunting changing everything but - that's what kids are supposed to do . No parent really wants their kids hanging around home without a real life of their own. So while your family might be sad that you will be further away than they would like - I'm sure that they are very happy for you too.

Enjoy yourself during this transition time. When things get bad at your job you can always whisper to yourself - only a few months to go
