Okay, I finally got the worm off my brand new computer. It ran okay for a few days, aside from being able to get a really decent lasting internet connection, which may have been my ISP. I don't know. Anyway, the other night I tried to shut the thing off and the "Windows is shutting down" screen stayed up for about 15 minutes, so I finally just cut the power to it.

Since then, whenever I try to turn it on, all I get is this annoying buzzing alarm sound. Absolutely nothing shows up on the monitor. I called Compaq and they told me I had to call the same number back and hit option one six times to get through to a person who could talk about this model. I tried that and only got the same menu from my first call. The first person did tell me that it might be a connection cable, so I checked all those out and they're fine.

Does anyone have any clue? I didn't have time to stay on the phone with Compaq for another hour and a half on hold last night after my first call to tech support.
