Totally true!! Although Marilyn was an American size 14 which is a British size 16 and a Dutch 44!!

Send her out to the swimming pool with some guys and some girls that are over this stage and wear bikinis. She will need to wear one, too and if the guys keep asking her after that to go swiming with them she'll soon feel better...at least that's how I survived that stage and I don't have a 36, I have a 38...so maybe it helps

She's lucky to have you, some mothers don't believe it can happens to their daughter.
My mother's husband has a daughter,she turned into anorexia when she was 14, she's 1.68 m and went to 34 kilos ! even inthe special hospital she was, they never found anything to stop her. Once it's started it's too late. I know some can live after but not like before, the whole body is damaged. Tell her about this story,and whynot showing her a report on the subject. It will show her how they aren't good looking,and all the pain too. You're right, be careful.
Unfortunely i'm not sure there is something you can say to help her feeling better. Just show her how much you love her, take the time for listening to her and never think she is not serious. They all say they need love when they feel like that. It can last long .... but i think it's worth.
If you want to, she could see a doctor in nutrition, she could tell him exactly what she wants and he will tell her what is possible or not.And he can detect more easily if there is a real risk .....
But don't forget anorexia is because of other problems ....

Hm... this all sound very familiar........

It's very difficult to convince her of the fact that she is not fat and ugly. Maybe you should take her to a beauty centre or sauna so she can see lots of naked people. It helped for me... I saw lots of people who were fatter and uglier than me. And those people were not ashamed at all and didn't bother to walk around completely naked. It made me realise that I have a very normal size. And why should I feel ashamed when those other people don't bother at all? It's very good for your self-esteem

I took her with me to get her tiny little bikini. I took her to a very expensive shop and told her to look for the most beautiful one. She found one and she is happy with it. Besides that we had some long talks about how people look like what is important and finally about her looks. Her sisters told her the same..she is really pretty, and well, she still eats bur started to do more excersises. That`s not that bad, though she plays hockey 3 times a week. She started to do some running and stuff like that. I don`t care about that as long as she eats enough.
I hope this excersing will do for her what she want it to do.
