Default My near death and embarrassing experiences today

I was driving to work and on part of the road that's being overlayed (and not too well). I must've gotten too close to the edge, even though I didn't get off the pavement. The pavement actually crumbled, sending my truck into convulsions! I think the wheels locked or something because it screeched and skidded all over the road and felt as if the power steering went out. I wound up in the other lane, turned in the other direction. I thought for sure I was going to land upside down in the ditch or something. All I can say is God must've been looking out for me because I never left the road and there weren't any other cars coming toward me or following me at the time. It was just my truck, so no one else was put in danger either.

But to tell you how my day is going, someone walked in on me in the lady's restroom too. I THOUGHT the door was locked, obviously, but it didn't catch. I'm so embarrassed. Quite frankly, I'm also a little afraid to leave the office. What's going to happen next? LOL

Becky

Wow, thats a handful.

I'm glad that you're safe though so we can laugh about it.

i had a similar incident once while driving to LA from Vegas at 120mph when I got ran off the road by this truck who decided to switch lanes without signaling. I ended up in the middle trying to avoid the collision with dust flying and me not knowing if i was on the road and if I had traffic coming at me or not. Very scary. So when my friend who was in the car asked if we should continue on to LA..all i could say was ..what are the chances of something like that happening twice in a day..lol.

As for the ladies room incident..no comments.

Oooh Becky what a day you've had. Im glad you are ok and no-one, including you, were hurt. It must have been really frigtening for you though.

I kinda had a day like yours on Tuesday of this week, albeit it was all my own fault. Was watching a parade going past my work's window when all of a sudden, I saw the United States Marine Corp and nearly fell out of the window in all my excitement. I work on the third floor of a office block, thankfully I managed to keep myself inside the window. You might guess I kinda a got a thing for guys in uniform, lol

I've had a couple of near misses whilst driving @ high speeds.

Once a pane of glass just fell off the back of this lorry, bounced, smashed & a nice big piece came flying right into my windscreen just in front of my friends face (who was in the passengers seat). How it didn't come through the windscreen & take his head off I'll never know. & the thing was the lorry was 2 lanes away from me.

Another time my friend was driving @ about 80-90 on the motorway & one of his tyres just burst. Which sent us skidding along & luckily not hitting anything.

Crazy stuff

Mike
