On such a large scale taken from a rooftop like that it is slightly easier, because as you say you only need to have the points to match, but in a smaller setting the perspective can be a problem, I took some in my nans garden last week and it too lots of messing with the perspectives and distorting the images and warping them to make them join, and even at that it wasn't perfect

And I did one out of my front door, and with the hedges and fence so close it took longer still, though didn't end up anywhere near as good
