Thanks for the link, I'll give it a try.

On such a large scale taken from a rooftop like that it is slightly easier, because as you say you only need to have the points to match, but in a smaller setting the perspective can be a problem, I took some in my nans garden last week and it too lots of messing with the perspectives and distorting the images and warping them to make them join, and even at that it wasn't perfect

And I did one out of my front door, and with the hedges and fence so close it took longer still, though didn't end up anywhere near as good

I'll have to say that your work on the panorama pictures are really good.

I'm just testing this program now, and it did one very fast that took me ages, and it did a better job too

This is definitely the best stitching program I've used yet, at highest quality and size it can take a while, but it gives very good results, even on images which have bad perspective problems

Yeah, you have to remember that the lens distorts the image, it's actually not a square-shaped image at all, but a sort of a puffed up square. But you do have to take account the perspective as well.

I think my camera does have some sort of balancing to stop the image barreling but the edges do sometimes seem very difficult to join, but that program worked brilliantly on the few I tried it with last night so I'll keep using that I think, thanks for recommending it.
