next legends will be........

U2, The rolling stones (if they aren't legends yet) and Bruce Springsteen

In my opinion a legend is someone who has got to the top and stayed there, so that rules Guns 'N' Roses out of the equation because they pissed it all away once they became famous. Good examples of legends could be The Who, Led Zeppelin, Madonna (don't like her but she's done well for a long time). I would say that Bon Jovi are getting there at the moment, and can probably be classed as legends.

As legends for the future I would say Nickelback have the potential, but I hope they can right a good follow up to How You Remind Me.

If we are talking about recent additions into the "rock legends file". Should we not also include KISS. They have had just as much success as a lot of other bands from the 80's. They continued to show the world what they were made of in the Long Kiss Goodnight (TM) tour.

Also what about the Beach Boys, I mean they have been inducded into the rock'n'roll hall of fame .
