Hehehe..I thought that was funny, if it is true that is.
Good news. Here in spain we said "emilio" (emilio is a spanish name and sound -more or less- as email) or "correo-e". I donīt like to say e-mail.

It is apprently wrong to call a blackboard a blackboard; even though it is black.

The government are always introducing stupid laws; apparently someone decided that our bananas weren't bent enough.

Stupid damn government.

Let me tell you, we still use the term French fry. That was the media's attempt to create something out of nothing. Not once have I been to a restaurant and saw the word "freedom fry." :P
I've just been calling them "fries". But the whole "freedom fries" thing is stupid. Same with "freedom toast". Next thing you know, we'll have freedom classes in school instead of French classes. But this won't last. Back in WWI Americans had to call hamburgers "liberty sandwitches".
