Wrong. Science has a very good idea of what happens to us when we die and guess what, it's based on evidence, not faith.
There is no immaterial part of the human body. No soul, no lifeforce, nothing exists within us that is external from our bodies. The mind, consciousness, that which is us, is a product of the functioning of the brain. This is a fact undeniable. Neuroscience and psychology have proven this fact beyond all doubt. There is no soul. When our brain becomes damaged our very personalities change radically. When our brains die, we die. Everything we are as people is contained within that tissue and when it's gone, we're gone. Every single piece of evidence we have confirms this fact and positively disproves any hypothesis of a life after death. Science has even explained the "white light" experience at the moment of death and the "out-of-body" experiences. Not only have they been explained they have been successfully replicated in laboratory settings, numerous times. To posit any sort of existence of consciousness beyond death means appealing to the supernatural and the supernatural is not real therefore one can justifiably laugh at certain hypothesis' and justifiably support, argue and rally behind one theory.
To think reincarnation is real is insane because it makes an absolute mockery of psychology and biology. The people we are is determined by the genes we inherit and then by what happens to us as we live. We don't inherit personalities from previously living people. **** sake just use some comon sense. And since our population has grown enourmously over the last few hundred years and continues to grow, where are all the new souls coming from and since we are the product of evolution at what point in our evolution did we begin to reincarnate? Was it with homo erectus, homo habilis, homo sapiens, homo sapiens-sapiens? At what point in the tsome 14 different human species that we know to have existed did we begin to reincarnate? Or maybe it started earlier with our ancestral fish perhaps.
There is no Heaven because there is no God. Notice the capital G. Since Heaven and souls belong to the Christian tradition I am talking here about the christian god, God. Science has also positively disproved it's existence (see Prof. Victor J. Stenger's book "God The Failed Hypothesis: How Science Shows That God Does Not Exist" for an explanation of this) which thereby irradicates any argument that souls or heaven exist, not that any sort of argument existed to begin with.
Humans are composed of atoms, when we die we return to that form and will exist for quite a long time to come in that form, but that is not life after death.

What about the suicidal person, or the person who loves to be beaten and tortured? Not such good advice when you think about it.
