Nudity Policy

i have to say, dawn, that i don't think you're living in the real world if you think that 14year olds don't look at porn.

Im sure they do , but they are not suppose to and allowing porn links here encourages it.

who says they're not supposed to anyway...? it differs from country to country or continent to continent....

I don't know what it was like for you but we first did sex education stuff in our last year of primary school, so we were aged around 10 years old.

I'm not saying that young teenagers should be watching porn, but nudity is not porn. Photos that some of us may consider erotic would just be nude photos to younger children, and unless they were raised specifically against it they probably wouldn't be offended by nudity.

What schools need to focus more on is not all the biology of it but more about teaching teenagers about contraception and safe sex and such, because even though they shouldn't, some teenagers experiment with sex before they are legally allowed to, and this results in many teenage pregnancies. This not only ruins the life of the teenager because they miss out on a full education, but it often means they need a job to support that child and then that child will suffer by not having a parent who is skilled enough to have a high paid job. This is all for a different discussion though, sorry to go offtopic.

I do remember having sex education in first grade of high school (aged 12 / 13 over here) with pretty obvious photo's in the books...

We did continue it sporadically throughout the first 3 years of high school (aged 11/12-13/14), but it was mostly biology then.

One odd thing I remember when first learning about it was watching a video which was a nudist family on a beach just playing frisbee and talking and totally non-sexual things (probably just to show different ages bodies) and looking back it just seems odd.

Obviously I wouldn't have expected them to put a porn film on, but logically there would have been more practical ways to do it.
