Ah well, I wish him all the best. Just hope Arsene pulls something out of the bag for us to be a great team again
Do you think his heart is still in it at Arsenal?

I thought you'd be pleased as it would give you a slighty better chance of not lossing against us

That depends on any summer purchases.

But I doubt it. I think he's gone after next season, along with Fabregas

It is, no offense taken. But Feyenoord was the club he started and he always said he would come back one day. He even had a clausule in his contract that he could move freely to Feyenoord.
He reached the age now, wouldn't play alot for Barca anymore and togheter with Makaay (& hofland, de cler & yes Gudjohnson from Barca and the 5/6 talents) Feyenoord really have a lot potential this year (for a Dutch team)

Makaay was asked why he left Bayern. He said:
"Some people say I am afraid of too much competition! This is not the case! I have never been afraid and I will never be afraid of competition. But I am long enough in this business to know how things run. If the club buys two big names like Toni and Klose, they will have to play and I don't want the fans to think: 'look at Makaay, he is not doing anything but filling up his pockets!'"

When he was asked why he didn't move to Bremen since they made a top offer for him, he said: "My love for Bayern is too big to play for another German side!"

Once again, this guy impressed me. I think he was the unluckiest striker in the history of the Netherlands since he had to play at the same time with RUUD. The difference between the two of them is minimal and there were years when Roy was definitely better. They were always my favorite two strikers. Beasts, with an instinct for goal. Now reading Roy's words I can only once again say THANKS for 4 great years and wish him all the best at Feyenord. I'll definitely be supporting that team next season. As Uli Hoeness put it: "Roy was a great personality on the pitch and outside the pitch!"
