I'd have to agree; the gap is narrowing but not quick enough at the minute. Once again, it'll be the same four teams dominating the Champions League places. Could be worse, we could be in France or Scotland...

I think Everton will finish 5th next season.

I doubt it. We're going to get massively outspent again during the transfer window and, as much as it'd be nice to believe we could actually stay on a level without buying players, it's incredibly unlikely.

Yeah but your strikers should be fitter next season.

One thing Villa, and Everton, don't have at the minute is a good enough squad to compete with the top four when things start going wrong.
I agree. You really can't fault the starting 11 for thier effort, but many of the squad players just aren't good enough. I mean, i'm never going to criticise MON's transfer dealings after the genius that was the purchase of A.Young, but some of the 'squad' players he's bought just aren't good enough (Zat Knight, Nicky Shorey, Steve Sidwell etc).

The likes of them 3 players are capable of doing something though. Give Sidwell a few games and he will only get better. Knight and Shorey are good players I think and if they get sold in the summer, it will be a bad decision.

Haha, there's our big money buy gone then! Looks like we're back to the drawing board, unless he's already got Jo lined up.

For a split second there I misread that and thought Mourinho had abandoned Inter for Sporting! It was cos 'renewed' was in there that had me wondering for a moment.
