****in' Yes! Blackburn are gonna be safe now thanks to a massive win over Wigan today!!

United a lucky bastards who always get the luck when they need it. If you ask me it's a conspiracy. They weren't going anywhere until they were given that penalty. They were lucky to beat us back in Feb. We practically played them off the park for 90 minutes. Come on Liverpool!!!!

Right I'm just going to step in here - Man United were always going to beat Tottenham. Yes, they were 2-0 down and looking poor, but Rooney/Ronaldo/Tevez were starting to come into the game and from experience of watching any Man United team they don't lose 2-0 at home to a much weaker side.

Nah, Tottenham were still involved a bit though. Once the pen went in, they just put there heads down because they know it wasn't a pen!

But do you not think it had something to do with the fact that Man United were back in the game, had their heads up and they knew what was coming next.

The penalty was not a penalty. Simple as that. But whether you're a Tottneham fan complaining or a Liverpool fan complaining, you can't pin everything down on that.

Who is to say the goal would of come though? Just because they looked like scoring, doesn't mean that they would of. That pen changed the game completely!

I know lol. But, I don't think they were THAT certain to score. I just think it was an awful decision and it changed the game and I doubt they would of got 3 if that pen hadn't of counted.

It's happened so many times before, I actually wasn't that worried at half-time. United came back out as they have done on countless occasions in the past and almost decided that they were suddenly going to start playing. Yes, the penalty was the first goal and shouldn't have been given but they were already creating chance after chance and Tottenham were riding their luck from the moment the second half began. Bear in mind United were arguably harshly dumped out of the FA Cup as a result of a poor penalty decision that didn't go in their favour so it's evened out in my book - although it doesn't surprise me that Liverpool and Tottenham fans don't see it that way.

If Spurs are that unprofessional to think that a harsh penalty call has wrecked their chances, they deserved to get thumped! They were still 2-1 up at that point and United still had it all to do. It wasn't as though Spurs were still carrying a threat after the break and that United were looking as dull as they did in the first half before the penalty was awarded so there's no case to argue - United were always going to bounce back regardless of the poor decision by Howard Webb. They were always THAT certain to score!

I still think it changed the whole game and make Spurs put their heads down.
