There was also no way that Rafael's contact with Pederson was enough to send him tumbling the way he did and yet he didn't get booked for trying to con the ref so again, if there's no consistency, it would have been harsh for Ronaldo to have been sent off as a result of his dive, albeit a blatant one.
I just wish play-acting would go away for good. You could argue it's gotten a lot worse over the years but the gradual improvements in multi-angle replay technology may only be making it seem that way. I don't know, either way it's cheating and, until they sanction the use of replays to allow for punishments to be handed out by the ref at the time, I can't see it getting any better.

Oh no, the dive was a yellow... It was when he kicked one of Blackburns players on purpose. Eboue got sent off for it the other day, so why shouldn't Ronaldo?
