It's happened so many times before, I actually wasn't that worried at half-time. United came back out as they have done on countless occasions in the past and almost decided that they were suddenly going to start playing. Yes, the penalty was the first goal and shouldn't have been given but they were already creating chance after chance and Tottenham were riding their luck from the moment the second half began. Bear in mind United were arguably harshly dumped out of the FA Cup as a result of a poor penalty decision that didn't go in their favour so it's evened out in my book - although it doesn't surprise me that Liverpool and Tottenham fans don't see it that way.

If Spurs are that unprofessional to think that a harsh penalty call has wrecked their chances, they deserved to get thumped! They were still 2-1 up at that point and United still had it all to do. It wasn't as though Spurs were still carrying a threat after the break and that United were looking as dull as they did in the first half before the penalty was awarded so there's no case to argue - United were always going to bounce back regardless of the poor decision by Howard Webb. They were always THAT certain to score!
