Well, it's also one person's account. I know that Hitler was bad and I know what he did, for example, but there are always 2 sides to every story.. okay, maybe Hitler isn't a good example.. but you know what I mean.
yes but on the other hand what is most interesting about history for me is that it is so objective LOL . I mean, you have specific events that lead to other specific events... there's not so much "bla bla bla" in this subject.
True, but our take on the War in Iraq will be totally different then an Iraqi's take on the war...

I thought that only Bush and Blair actually wanted the war on Iraq though (note war on Iraq and not war with Iraq)

Obviously I agree that Hussein had to be removed from power, but not by starting a war and leaving troops in the country long after he was removed from power.

The thing is though, although Hussein was a mad dictator, we had no problem with him. Who are we to say that he needs to go?? Iraq is in a worse state now with him gone. At least we knew what Saddam was about..

So if you found out your neighbour abused their children or animals you wouldn't do anything about it? Same thing, just a much larger scale.

If someone is doing something like that they need to be stopped, albeit surely a small SAS team could have got Saddam easily without the need for an all out war.

I get what you mean. I just think that now the situation is worse than what it was... and even the people there don't seem to happy with the situation as it is.

Well we only see what news teams show us, we haven't been and so don't actually know, but surely it would be better not to live under a murdering dictator if possible. Obviously there are still US and British troops there, and the conflict is still going on, but I think once the troops pull out and Iraq gets a proper leader then people can begin to make real lives for themselves, not living in fear.
