I really have no right whatsoever to say ANYTHING regarding English Grammar because if there is a people that has taken more short cuts in speaking than Australians, I'd like to know who.

I'm not having a German telling me how to speak my own language!

I suppose she does have a point though. There are many people who do use bad grammar. Fortunately I don't think I'm one of them though.

i have to say that it isnt only us brits guilty of this, a helluva lot of 'furriners' (lol) make exactly the same mistakes... the english language is quite complex and if you had bad teaching from an early age it means that actually youre less likely to understand that these words like there, their and they're , and see and sea and here and hear (the last one in particular really frustrates me) i think if you areng britishin origin youare taugfh this stuff better because it /has/ to be correct. sad but true...

also tash, with the breakfast/dinner/tea/supper debate.. that varies in england as well as britain and mainland europe.

southerners tend to have breakfast followed by lunch followed by dinner (and/or sometimes supper - supper is more upper class)
northerners have breakfast dinner and tea. supper is generally the biscuit with a cup of tea before you go to bed or whatever...
however this is also superceded by upbringing and stuff like that.....

have been involved in many arguments to do with it!!!!

hope thats helped/ fair point
