surely staying with someone when you are lonely and looking for some attention is just as bad?

I'm not going to go into details, ryan can if he feels the need but it's more than a case of as far as his situation goes: hey it's xmas, im lonely and i think i could get my dick wet with this hottie.

Well guys... Here's the thing... It's not the looks that attract me to her. It's the fact that she might be the nicest person I have ever met... She's great, but I agree... No cheating on my part and I vowed not to do that.

How about you think what you want and why you are suddenly attracted to all these different girls. Personally I think you are tying yourself down, not that you should be sleeping around, but you've got your whole life to be in a serious relationship.. how about having some fun!

It doesn;t matter what age u are, all i say is if u really care about someone, then i don;t think u want to cheat her no matter what the situation is... But there nothing wrong with being friends with other girls, just u have to know ur line and not cross it.

You usually don't know what you want at a young age. Can you honestly say you still want the same things as you did 10 years ago?? I'm not saying you never know, but your thoughts and feelings always change over the years. And like I said, you have the rest of your life to be tied down....

I love the sentiment that’s apparent in a lot of this thread, there are obviously a lot of noble thinking people on here. Sadly there is a major distinction between real life complications and the Disney teen movie effect. I’m probably going to get slated for cynicism here, I don’t mean this negatively but you know the sickly sweet teen-angst films you used to watch as children where everyone really wants the fat kid/stupid kid/geek kid to land the nubile misunderstood hot cheerleader… but transfer the same situation to a real life scenario and everyone just thinks “Yeah right, that’s going to happen”. The same thing I think applies to a misplaced sense of loyalty at all costs. I’m not for one second suggesting anyone cheat, I think that is beneath low, but I for one have been guilty of keeping a relationship going for a couple of years longer than I should in the past out of misplaced loyalty and although I’m really glad how things have worked out now I do rue a lot of missed opportunities and kick myself regularly for letting it influence my university choice etc.

Sit down and decide what you really want from this, the fact that you are willing to put yourself in a situation where there is a chance you might cheat kind of suggests that you have doubts at some level about how your long-distance relationship is progressing. Also try to work out your motivations for your attraction to Brittany are, is it just because she’s closer or because you can really see yourself with her more than your current partner?

Once you are sure what you really want then go for it, do not stay in a situation you are unhappy with because you feel you owe it to someone, that’s a recipe for real resentment to build and will end in tears after a lot of wasted effort.

Good luck, keep us posted… and if it’s true that your current partner is actually on JT then we could indeed be witnessing the most dim way to get dumped ever, if there were a relationship equivalent of the Darwin awards it would be right up there!

Yes it has and i'm sure it will in future too. But basic thing never change. All i'm saying is you just can;t give age as excuse for cheating.
