Thanks for sharing! This was indeed a great experience!

I’ll seriously think about what to wear before checking in in some LA hotel But we already booked one, it’s called Futurama or something like that, don’t know if you know it.

You didn’t like LA in general then, hmm what about Bel Air, Beverly Hills or Hollywood? Are those not interesting or exciting? I’m really looking for-ward to visiting these places

nice story mreto.

"I take a shave and a shower...if i want to!"

I guess that's my attitude.I love it when people have a good opinion on me.
I don't give a damn if they don't have.

I mean, I have a 3 day beard right now and my hair looks really bad ,still i am too lazy to do something.

I guess it's high time for a shave.

great story mreto!!

I DO like LA - I could live there - I know everybody gives me "the look" if I say that, but I definitely like it.

Heavenly: you'll have a blast.

First time I was in LA was 10 years ago and I didn't particularly like it. I was a bit scared in some parts (maybe that was due to the fact that I was a fresh import to the US back then ), too many hustlers and bums.

The second time was last year. Of course staying in Santa Monica is much better than staying at the motel I did back in 1993. I like Venice Beach even though it is quite touristy, but it has the "vacation flair" which lets you unwind after work quite nicely.

I love Malibu - you feel like a million bucks in Malibu

Hollywood and Sunset Strip is much nicer and cleaner than 10 years ago. Not as many bums and I swear I saw Anthony Kiedis at a Fast Burgers - you'll see all the stars (most likely just want-to-look-alikes but that is ok :P ).

If you've never been to LA you want to drive through Beverly Hills, Bel Air and Rodeo Drive, but a drive through should suffice. There are a bicillion better places to check out than some expensive homes and shops.

Topanga canyon is great because of all the left-over hippies living there - lots of fun.

Don't waste your time with all the obvious tourist traps there is so much more to LA (though I use the term loosly as I include Santa Barbara, etc. - greater LA area - let's put it that way).

Finally, you cannot beat the wheather Rent a convertible, you'll have conversations with bikers at every traffic light

Only the opinions of a select few people concern me. I don't really care about anyone else's opinion. I'm not going to do anything out of the ordinary so people think differently about me, except for those people I care about.

haha mreto's story reminds me of what happened when my boyfriend and i stayed at a quite expensive hotel when we went to padova for the jovi concert. the problem was that we couldn't find a hotel in the centre of padova so we stayed some kms outside. that hotel was full of businessmen all dressed up in suits and stuff. they were looking at us like we were from space or something. lol very funny! you should have seen the receptionist' s face when we got back from the concert, tired, sweated, with our 'concert' clothes (me wearing a t shirt that wrote "what a great ****ing day for rock'n'roll") he looked at us surprised and then he almost burst out laughing... :P

well I had a similar experience in Munich last year... we came from Zürich all dirty and sweaty (I hadn't slept in 30 hours, had been to a Jovi concert, sunburned my back&shoulders, driven 850km etc) and that b!tch at the reception desk would complain that I didn't bring with me a print of the confirmation email the site sent me (how the hell did I know my confirmation number then!!??) and had us wait for 5 hours before giving us the fuking room! F*k off!!!
