The peacock takes a while to do the first time, but once you've done it once you get the hang of it, but it's best to try first on a pretty big, pretty thin piece of paper. The legs and neck end up quite thick so if your paper is too thick to begin with it will be difficult to do the reverse folds for the legs and feet. The one I posted was my 2nd attempt and made from a piece of paper 100x150mm (the design I used specifies a piece of paper measuring 2:3)
