exactly
it doesn't make sense with basic economics
cinemas first come out (new concept you'd think expensive) yet huge demand >>> very cheap tickets, people go to see films as often as you or i might watch them on TV...
now there's still a huge demand but they up the prices up
in central London the cinemas cost nearly twice (if not more) than they do just 1 hour away in oxford, or in manchester

THat's just the same as anything else though. If they can sell out cinema's at £5 a ticket, they'll do that..... I've found a cinema in Manchester that does £2.50 for students, which I don't think is a rip off. I know this idea that cinema's used to be cheep, but in all fairness, the last two times I've been to the cinema it was sold out, so I can see why the prices are that high......
