Default Outrageous

I will never ever understand how the people in UK and USA and Australia can watch & all this going on - their elected and appointed officials talking calmly about their actions that are worse than anything ever seen on tv by the whole world. People need to rise and stop this!

More than 1000 people are reported to be arrested during demonstrations in US cities. Please? There is only one government in the world that needs to be overthrown IMMEDIATELY and it's being headed by a monkey man, whose people are talking about fears of ecological disaster if Iraquis burn their oil fields (fvck, they sound like communists when they talk about those fields as a property of entire nation!) and preparing to drill the oil in Alaska at the same time.

The entire US administration should drown in oil. They have just laid foundations for WW3. I'm nor Arab nor a Muslim and I'm so pissed off I'd need to throw some granades to local US embassy to calm down, I can't even imagine how outraged Arabs must be. This will not be forgotten in next 100 years.

Why is this board still online anyway? It should be temporarily shut down as display of protest!

I can imagine tommorows headlines;

War stopped becuase of a small online protest composed of a little over 1000 bon jovi fans.

George Bush speech: "I have decided to stop the war, becuase a small group of people on the Internet closed down their message board."

Oh, and the signature...very very sad. Everyone else has cool song or movie quotes, and you have Pi.

Sad to you maybe. Read a book called The Joy of Pi, it is very interesting.

And you have a photo of Tony Blair.... uhm.... the evil version of Anakin Skywalker, how sad is that.

In a way, signatures show the level of intelligence and depth of people

Please tell me you meant that sarcastically!

Do an Internet search, to see which returns most results...Pi, or Star Wars.

...and signatures don't show any level of intelligence. Lots of people have photos of the band, and others have quotes. You think using Pi as your signature makes you look smarter? I love Star Wars, and thus I used a picture and a quote from it in my signature. This doesn't make me stupid; I am actually studying maths A-Level, and have an IQ of around 140, which isn't too high, but above average.

Pi will show more. It does on Google and I am willing to bet it does on every search engine.

And no, I wasn't being sarcastic. Pi is not just the ratio of a circles diameter to its circumference, or its radius/diameter squared to its area, it appears in many places in nature.

Once I have finished my maths a-level this year, I will probably never have to apply any of the formulae I learned to any real life situation. I chose maths because I enjoy it, some topics at least.

I just thought it was a bit sad to use it as a signature on this type of message board. Maybe on a maths one or something, but not on here.
I know mine isn't really applied directly to the board, I should probably use a Bon Jovi one, but it is all in the name of entertainment.

If you like reading about Pi, then go ahead. I don't, so I won't, lol.

So you are saying you were wrong about the search engine comment?

Not completely. I did the Google search, and some results where completely irrelevant to Pi. They just search for the letters, returning stuff like Pictures, and other irrelevant things. A lot of the relevant results where research pages, and information ones, whereas most star wars ones would be fan sites, and forums, and multimedia. Star Wars is a past-time, a hobby, etc. Pi is something to research, to study. I suppose this may be different to some people, but those are the general assumptions.
