she cant find out how to restart XP in safe mode  can you explain please ?

restart the computer and keep pressing the F8 button, it will show u the options, there u can chose the safe mode. |
she has tried this and all the options she gets is select first boot device and a choice between 3 IDE -0 CD/DVD-O BBS-0
The first 2 just starts her laptop as normal and the 3rd just gets stuck on the user screen.

Try to select the first option and then immeditatly keep pressing the F8.
