Yes, there are some "for"s and "against"s Pluto being a planet.
Pluto, in addition to it revolving around the Sun and having a moon, has enough gravity to be (roughly) spherical and retain a significant atmosphere. It also probably has an active surface and very pronounced seasons. That makes it closer to a planet then to an asteroid.
On the other hand it's small (smaller than 4 of the known moons in our Solar System), and is for the most part made of the same elements as most asteroids in the Kuiper Belt.
It could belong to a third kind of planets (after terrestrial planets that are Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars and jovian (and isn't here the right message board to talk about anything jovian

) planets that are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune) that are "ice" planets. Up to now Pluto was the only one in that category but Sedna could join it.
It could just be a "missing link" between comets and planets.
But, let's just say Pluto is Mickey's dog, agree, and move on
