My cat got shut out of the house one night for about 2 hours before I missed him and went looking for him. He ran in as soon as I opened the door and now when the door is open he sticks his nose out but makes sure his feet are in the house.

I've got a little mini Jack Russell called Blaze (of glory, of course ). She's 3 years old but so small everyone still mistakes her for a puppy. She's a tricolour and has a great character. In all honesty, I hated small yappy dogs before and wanted a great big lump like an Old English Sheepdog (I've had two of those before) but my dog is cracking!!!!
I have a Jack Russell too, his name's Casey. They're really sweet dogs despite being so hyper. Blaze is a cute name. I bet she's adorable

there is another post on the board about pets people have which includes a lot of pics.

I have had cats all my life , but now I have bunnies, they are not that different from cats.

When my house dog died a few years ago, I swore I would never have another dog in the house. Well you know they say about never say never. I got a puppy a few weeks ago, and I swear one puppy is more destructive and messier than a dozen cats! She is the equivalent of about 14 toddlers. I don't even know where she finds the stuff she finds to tear up. I just know nothing is safe! She has all kinds of dog appropriate things to chew on, but she is more content to chew up any cord she can find, especially those belong to electronics and appliances.

Once I got my first cat at the age of 20 (my Mom wouldn't let me have cats - we had dogs) I haven't looked back. Don't get me wrong, I loved my dogs as a kid and I still love dogs. But after raising 3 kids and once again having an organized house, I really don't want to start again with a puppy. I might be open to adopting a mature dog that needed a good home though.
