Meanwhile Tom turned from the eternal pessimist to the eternal optimist and (after extensively playing the tourist in Dreamland for the day) got everyone tickets to Vladivostok where the Scorps were doing a small club gig... from there he booked flights/boat to Japan where BJ were just about to start their Japanese tour and, as usual, play lots of rare songs that Europe never gets to hear live too often.

The gang stayed in Japan to see 6 more shows. They were all semi acoustic since the time we got there the acoustic album was already out and a promo tour was happening. We argued whether we should follow the rest of the tour but.......

decided to check out the Geishas (sp?) instead

Goose told everyone what a Geishas is. It's a

trans-Siberian lesbian cross-dressing string band playing Balalaika classics and Greek songs such as "who pays the ferryman"

which is a classic of course. We decided to travel back to Europe to....

beg for more money from various family members and banks so we could go to South America and enlighten them with rock n roll... (by which we mean amazonian tribes)

But one of the tribes turnes nasty and tries to sacrefice Choc to their God....

but Tom gets a weird phone call from Peter Carey who tells him everything there is to know about the particular tribe (because he's a walking, breathing living encyclopaedia of knowledge) and Tom convinces them that Mike McRock is God...

so the JTalkers go on without Mike for the North American Scorpions tour who instead creates a rock band out of tribal followers, develops an uncanny German accent and gets into the habit of saying:

"zee kids are hungry for rock n roll"

and

"let us sing this song together"

Meanwhile Jim Bon Jovi is boogying the night away in a particularly cheap and nasty nightclub in Glasgow oblivious to everything thats happening.
