i think that the Catholic Church has way too much power than it shoul dhave. Just the other day i read that roughly 15% of Britain is Catholic according to the census. This means that 85% are not.

I find it pretty unfair then that the catholic Church has such a say on how schools are run, what Gorvernment can do and a whole list of other stuff.

All religion is pretty much the same hypocritical brainwashed bullshit regardless of whether you're a Catholic, Muslim, Protestant, Hindu, Christian or whatever. The sooner people realise this, the better.

I am not religious whatsoever but I think your views are rather harsh. This has nothing to do with "brainwashed bullshit" as you like to call it. It's everybody's choice to believe in God if they wish. Who are you too judge them? I agree that the church shouldnt have the amount of power it does, but that's no reason to insult the people who are religious

I have to agree. If anyone read the argument that I started last week about religion, lol, this was what I was talking about; Brainwashing. Just because they are told something, and told it is very old, well hey, it MUST be true.

Hey guys, this topic was meant to be funny.
Whatever, IMO religions are bullshit nowadays. But there were times when it was necessary. I think they are just too old fashioned for today and often used for fooling people. But if anyone wants to believe in it then let 'em do so. Not everyone stops thinking when he/she believes in a religion.

i wasnt trying to offend anyone i was expressing an opinion which i think is totally valid. i believe in God just not in a religious thou shall worship thee way. i cud write a book telling people how to live their lives like i think theys hould and 2000 years down the line people may regard it as their Bible. may sound far fetched but it could happen and the Bible that we have today could be that. i just think that listening to what people tell u to do and believing it just because they are a minister or priest or because its in the Bible is a very foolish way to live life.

its amazing wot u can make people believe if they want to believe it. tell most people to fly a plane into a building and they'll say hell no. tell some people God will reward them if they do it and the rest is history. nothing bad meant here im just saying if those people believe that wot they did was the work of God then who knows wot u cud make urself believe if u wanted to.
