you have a S1 IS as well? Although I'm sort of hoping that I might get a case with my birthday in a few weeks - it was on top of my list after all .

Yeah I know! It just doesn't do the trick when you try to explain a non-diver what it's like underwater just with words . I have used underwater throw away camera's with snorkeling, but they don't work on a proper dive... And the quality is obviously useless .

Thanks for those larger ones, Neil. They're stunning.

Another few batches from me:

1/4

These were taken with my old camera, which was (and is) my parents':

All four from Barcelona, Dec. 2004:

No I actually don't...
I have a nikon coolpix 5400 with a Ikelite housing. And two DS-50 substrobes. But you can have the whole thing if I'd like!!

It's all right, but I want an camera with TTL Substrobes such as a D70 or something.

It is very hard shooting underwater, not as easy as on the surface. You often only get one shot and then the camera setting has to be right otherwise the picture will turn out bad.

Yes it’s really nice showing other people the underwater world, but still there are some underwater scenes that are very hard to transform into an photo such as swimming over a coral garden, drift dives, all the life, the peace of just listening to your own breath (this one is rather obvious ) and so on.

I've been shooting underwater for 2 years now, actually, my interest in diving grew when I started shooting. I strongly recommend it! And it's a perfect memory...

Also with my old camera, but this is Madrid Jan. 2005:

My new camera now:

This is my rosebush, last summer.

A brilliant sunset, also last summer in Madrid:

Madrid, July 2005:

I can't believe I forgot to post this one yesterday, since it's one of my all-time favourites. It was taken last August in Barcelona:

I love chestnuts. Autumn 2005:

Autumn 2005 in Madrid. Got weird faces from people while taking this one, but I like the result:

yeah I suppose the lights underwater are very hard to capture... I never really did any underwater shooting, so I'd need a lot of practice. But I'm not diving too often so I guess just a underwater case as addon on the camera will do for now . I could always think about substrobes and fancy accessories when I'm really into underwater photography .
