Wonderful pictures in this thread!

I really like photography, even though I'm not any good at it. Don't really have the patience necessary.
But anyways, here are some of mine:

some pics we took from our trip to Melbourne last weekend to see Wicked.

Took me a while to get used to my new camera, and I have conceeded defeat with the night setting...need a tripod for those.
Bear in mind, several of the pics here were taken from inside the car travelling at 130kms./hr.

The Giant Koala - at a place called Dadswell Bridge, in The Grampians, Victoria. [we have this penchant here in Oz, of building these 'big' or 'giant' things...have to say, this one is very spooky looking...real koalas do NOT look like this]

Eureka Sky Tower - the glass part that you can see sticking out up the top...that is called "The Edge"
..Eureka is the tallest residential building in the world....Skydeck 88 is the only observation deck in the world that can thrill you with 'The Edge' - a glass cube which projects 3 metres out from the building - with you in it - suspended almost 300 metres above the ground!..
http://www.skydeck.com.au/index.asp
Jim and Jessie went up to SkyDeck 88, but gave "The Edge" a miss as there was a 35 min. wait to go in it...I stayed right on terra firma, 300 metres down from them, like the good scaredy cat I am.

This is looking straight up at it...

...and this is looking straight down......ummmmmm, NO [even looking at this pic makes me feel 'off']

looking over at The Docklands area. The stadium in the centre is Telstra Dome [aka Colonial Stadium...where BJ played the Universal gig in 2001]. The buildings just behind are The Docklands area...the one that looks like the bow of a ship is where we stayed]

One of the bridges over The Yarra River [taken from Southbank]

NewQuay - Docklands

part of the Melbourne skyline - taken from inside the Berth restaurant

and Wicked was brilliant. If you like musicals, and it plays near you, go see it.

Nice pictures Jess - there is nothing like the beach in the summer. As you say - surfing and swimming all day and cocktails at night. Best of all is no work for awhile.

Wow! That's one hell of a dune!

I just realised that I haven't posted any shots in here since the end of June.

Here are some of my shots from London -

Default The Iron Dog

Stumbled across this event in Croxteth Park in Liverpool today. It was firefighters with their trained rescue dogs. There were some random obstacles setup in a small enclosure and they had to do a mile around the park itself (with judges setup around the park to watch) before coming back to complete everything.

This collie wouldn't go through the tunnel

Back from the mile 'round the park
